Dr. Edward J. Vermet is first, the son of Dutch immigrants who came to America to seek the American Dream for their family. He grew up in Grosse Pointe and attended the local schools: Maire, Pierce and Grosse Pointe South High School. He graduated twice from the University of Michigan where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and then Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has been cheerfully practicing dentistry for over 25 years. He is the third dentist to serve GP in this convenient office since 1952. He has experience in performing all general dentistry and pediatric services.

Thanks to his extensive training, Dr. Vermet provides his patients with the latest advances and techniques in dentistry and state of the art equipment including nitrous sedation and digital radiography.

Outside the office, Dr. Vermet is an avid sailor having competed in over 40 Bayview Mackinaw races with 10 first place finishes. He also is an avid gardener, swimmer, bicyclist and animal lover. He currently has two golden doodles and three cats. He is the proud father of three children and he and his wife Chris reside in Grosse Pointe Woods. They are members of St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church and many local civic organizations where they happily contribute their time and resources.
